Our Accessibility Goal

Tum Tums Mediterranean is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our technical conformance target.

What We Have Done

• Used semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) for screen reader navigation
• Provided a “Skip to main content” link on every page
• Labeled all form fields and associated error messages programmatically withhtmlFor/id pairings
• Ensured keyboard navigation works throughout the site with visible focus indicators
• Added descriptive alt text for meaningful images and empty alt text for decorative images
• Published our menu as accessible HTML text, not images or PDFs
• Used sufficient color contrast for text and interactive controls

Known Limitations

• Our online ordering is handled by a third-party platform (DoorDash) whose accessibility we do not control. If you have trouble ordering online, please call us at (256) 275-7008.
• Delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats is handled on their respective platforms, which have their own accessibility policies.
• We have not yet conducted a formal third-party accessibility audit. This statement reflects our internal evaluation and ongoing efforts.
